The Fairy Without Wings

The Fairy Without Wings

by 6-year-old Franny, California

Once upon a time there was a fairy. She was a normal fairy like you imagine today. But she had no wings.

She was a water fairy. She did have wings once, but they got spirited off to a waterfall.

From then on, she hid because she was worried the other fairies would make fun of her.

But then, one day, she met another fairy without wings, like her. She was a sun fairy.

From then on, she was never lonely again. Her friend and her played hide and seek together.

One day in their own good time, they found their wings. They were under a waterfall.

The water fairy’s wings were yellow, like sun sparkling on water, with yellow shadings.

The sun fairy’s wings were blue, like her friend’s hair.

And they all lived happily, with their new wings, that is, ever after. It turns out their talents were mixed up. That is why their wings got spirited. The water fairy’s hair turned pink

And that my friends is how the rainbow was created.

The end.
